Job Search with LinkedIn – Getting recommendations

Contact only those people who know you well and can provide specific examples of your strengths and differentiators.

For each person you ask to write a LinkedIn recommendation, provide them with three skills that you’d like them to discuss.

Ask them to include: How long they’ve worked with you, background on how they know you, description of the three skills you asked them to discuss, and at least one specific success example.
