Employment prospects for 2012/13 first degree graduates dramatically improved compared to 2011/12 graduates. The proportion of graduates working in professional and managerial jobs in the UK had increased and the unemployment rate decreased from 8.5% to 7.3%. Overview of 2014 destinations data

  • Of the 256,350 UK-domiciled graduates who responded to the survey:
  • 70% were in employment and 7.3% were unemployed
  • 5.6% were working and studying at the same time
  • 12.6% had continued with further study or training

Average salaries of graduates employed full-time in the UK ranged from £18,615 to £22,785, depending on their occupation.
