Infosys BPO Ltd., the business process outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys, on Thursday announced that Project Genesis, its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has trained more than 100,000 students across India to enhance their level of employability in the ITeS industry.
Project Genesis is an industry-academia partnership initiative that was launched in Karnataka by Infosys BPO in 2005, with the objective of increasing employability of students across Tier-I and Tier-II towns in the country.
A detailed curriculum was also tailored keeping in mind the limited industry exposure that these students have. The program is conducted in four well-planned phases, so that the impact on students is the highest.
The initiative equips them with the required proficiency to enter and perform well in this dynamic industry.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghavendra K, Vice President & Head – Human Resources Development, Infosys BPO said, “We are proud to see such inspiring results from Project Genesis, which had made a strong impact right since inception. We have reached out to over 100,000 students from Tier-II and Tier-III towns in India, and continue to strive towards reaching out to more.”…
