JOB vacancies up for grabs in the Philippines could hit 2 million this year in the five hottest fields: information technology, engineering, finance, sales and customer service, according to internet recruitment web-based firm Jobstreet.com.
Jobstreet.com said in 2011, there were 2.7 million job vacancies, of which 40 percent were posted by the Malaysian-listed firm.
Yoda Buyco, marketing director of Jobstreet.com, said although there are a lot of job vacancies in the Philippines, the unemployment rate remains high due to jobs and skills mismatches…
