MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC Gan Thiam Poh has called for a centralised agency to match short-handed companies with local workers.

This was just one suggestion Mr Gan made to help Singaporeans, especially those in the lowest wage groups, find jobs.

He also called for a union to look into the welfare of low-wage workers such as cleaners, who used to enjoy better employment benefits when the public sector employed them directly in the past…
