Five years after the height of the recession, it has become abundantly clear that the reports of
BigLaw’s death were greatly exaggerated. The associate market reached a new zenith during the recently concluded second quarter. Using an ARIMA model, (autoregressive integrated moving average model) we projected a forecast that the associate market should roughly conform to. If it reaches its expected targets, we should see two unprecedented quarters of lateral growth during the third quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2016. Forecasting any further in the future yields dubious results, but we are confident that the market will continue to flourish.
