Employment has increased in Turkey by 22.7 percent since the 2008 global economic crisis.
According to International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the data indicated Turkey has increased its workforce by 4.7 million people since the global economic crisis started to show its effects world-wide. (between 2008 and November 2013)
Turkey took first place among 32 countries in the developed and the developing countries in increasing its workforce size.
