In a speech given at the Center for American Progress on Aug. 7th, Obama Labor Secretary Hilda Solis talked on the subject of job opportunities for the Latino community.
After noting that she want an economy that “works for everyone and not just the privileged few“ the Secretary warned that the Administration will continue to ”put pressure on congress to do the right thing and keep teachers, firefighters and police officers on the job.”
Solis then positioned to infrastructure, touting Obama’s vision to “put thousands of construction workers back on the job rebuilding our roads and our bridges.” The Secretary then announced “And no community has suffered more, in my opinion, than those Latino construction workers.” No sources were cited in this comment…
