Singapore – Unemployment inched higher to 2.1%

And total employment grew by a scanty 27,400.

According to the Ministry of Manpower, employment creation has moderated slightly in the first quarter this year, though it remained fairly strong. Unemployment has risen slightly. The seasonally adjusted overall unemployment rate increased from 2.0% in December 2011 to 2.1% in March 2012…
