About 450 employees are facing layoff from their jobs with the Indianapolis offices of Aurora Bank FSB, a financially-troubled mortgage servicer that has been for sale.
The Delaware-based bank and mortgage institution, a division of financially-troubled Wall Street firm Lehman Brothers, filed a letter warning of the job cuts that was posted today on the website of the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Aurora’s website indicates the bank has operations in at least 19 cities across the country. Two sites in Indianapolis include a call center on the Northeastside at 5920 Castleway West Drive.
The Northeastside call center had about 240 employees in 2009 when it opened at that location…
