Some workers have been let go at the Bull Arm industrial yard in eastern Newfoundland, although the managing company says the layoffs are routine and will not affect the Hebron offshore oil project.
Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors let 10 people go on Thursday. Six were staff members, while four people had been seconded from other companies and will return to work there.
About 200 people are working at the fabrication site, which will be used to build the gravity based structure for the Hebron oil project…
