More effort needs to be put into bolstering China’s job market, President Hu Jintao has said.
Hu, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks Monday at the 32nd group study of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
Increasing employment is key to guarantying and improving people’s well-being and should be prioritized in China’s economic and social development, said Hu.
A series of policies and measures have been carried out to expand employment, and the jobs market has remain generally stable, Hu said.
But the president noted the situation is “severe” and will remain so for the next four years, as China works to accommodate an oversized labor pool with inadequate skills…
