Unemployment rate in Pakistan – At 13 year high

According  to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PSB), unemployed people have been increased to 1.5 Capture d’écran 2015-06-05 à 07.58.22million since Nawaz Sharif has assumed the office in 2013. The current unemployment rate is higher than the fiscal year 2002. During the last year of Musharraf’s tenure, unemployment rate was 5.2% that rose to 6.2% in 2013 in the end of Zardari’s tenure and now it is at 8.3%, just in two years of Nawaz’s government.

The PSB has presented its report on unemployment to the National Economic Council. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directs his cabinet ministers and advisors to make a strategy to control the unemployment.
