Hewlett-Packard Co. ( HPQ ) said it will increase by 5,000 the number of expected layoffs under a restructuring plan adopted in May 2012, bringing the number of job cuts to 34,000, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company, in a filing Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, cited “continued market and business pressures” for the increase in expected job reductions.
