A total of 920 new immigrants in Taiwan have so far found jobs through a job search site designed for them, according to the 1111 Job Bank, which launched the site in cooperation with the National Immigration Agency in January.
The highest numbers of job matches were seen in the categories of food service personnel, counter/store staff, and packers/operators, which accounted for 9.4 percent, 4.1 percent, and 3.8 percent of the total number of successful job seekers, respectively, figures from the Job Bank showed.
As of July 24, a total of 244 employers have advertised job openings on the site, http://www.1111.com.tw/zone/immigration/, and 3,300 new immigrants have registered as members, the Job Bank said recently
