Latvia / The third lowest minimum wage in EU

Latvia has the third lowest minimum wage in the European Union (EU). Only Bulgaria and Romania have smaller minimum wages, according to data by the EU statistical bureau Eurostat, writes LETA.

Lithuaniahas the fourth lowest minimum wage in the EU 289.62 euros, while Estonia’s minimum wage is sixth lowest –320 euros.

Eurostatdata reveals that Latvia’s minimum wage this past January was 287.07 euros. The minimum wage in Romania was 157.26 euros, and in Bulgaria 158.5 euros.

Luxembourghas the highest minimum wage in EU – 1,874.19 euros.
