Malaysia – Unemployment Is the Lowest in 3 Years at 2.7%

Malaysia’s unemployment rate is now the lowest it has been in the past 34 months, an impressive achievement in the global economic uncertainty. The jobless rate was 2.7 per cent in August, down from 3.1 per cent in the previous month as well as a year ago.

According to data released by the Department of Statistics recently, the number of unemployed people in the country was 347,200 in August, a substantial decline of 11.9 per cent from last year. In July, the country had 402,300 unemployed…
