Fiji – 200 new jobs in waste management business

INVESTMENT Fiji has approved a $100million worth application from an American company to start a waste management business in Viti Levu.

This was confirmed by Investment Fiji chairman Adrian Sofield who said the investment should create about 200 new jobs.

The proposal from the company is to collect rubbish across the country, which includes villages and rural areas.

Mr Sofield said the company would use incinerators and landfills only if they did not collect enough rubbish to burn…
