The movers and shakers of India Inc are on the move. There is a churn across search firms as headhunters and leadership consultants are moving on to new roles.
Search firms are hiring talent from other sectors too, both to replenish their talent pool and expansion into new areas. The managing director of FutureStep, a Korn/Ferry company, Asim Handa, has a few days back joined Gi Group, a global staffing firm.
Handa spent seven years in FutureStep. Korn/Ferry had earlier this month roped in Avdesh Mittal, a former Heidrick and Struggles partner, as senior client partner and regional market leader, digital media.
“Search firms are getting ready for the future and there is demand for talent. We are looking at hiring two more senior partners soon,” says Navnit Singh, chairman and country head at Korn/Ferry International. Industry sources say that the new head of FutureStep is unlikely to be from within the search industry…
