Apple UK, US, and Canada have all reported huge layoff numbers across Apple retail store outlets. Recent training groups all within their probationary period have been given the pink slip.
We even hear recently promoted Apple employees being demoted back down to their original positions, all while part-time employees disappointingly discover zero hours per week for next week’s schedule.
With the iPhone 5 and iPad mini release only a month away, Apple retail staff see zero progress in available hours — even after Apple allegedly promised more availability during the back-to-school season.
Looks like Apple’s recent retail raise has finally caught up to them; paying $15 per hour for a team of sales associate can cost a pretty penny.
But this isn’t a first lay off spurt associated with the almighty Apple. Their overseas manufacturer Foxxconn recently laid off millions of overseas workers, looking to substitute human workers for one million robots over the next three years…
